Les pays africains qui sont regroupés au sein du C4 avaient menacé avant la conférence ministérielle de bloquer les négociations sur le cycle de Doha si leurs préoccupations relatives au coton n’étaient pas prises en compte. A la fin des travaux, rien de concret n’a filtré de cette conférence. Cela a incité le C4  à envisager « l’utilisation des outils juridiques à sa disposition à l’OMC au cas où une solution ne serait pas trouvée »..... /

African countries that joined together within the C4 had threatened before the Ministerial Conference to block the negotiations on the Doha round if their concerns about the cotton were not taken into account. At the end of the workshop, nothing concrete has filtered through this Conference.
